Our company was founded by a Foreign Service spouse in 1983. She started the company after realizing from first-hand experience that there was a need for quality property management, especially for owners out of the US. Now current day, I am the owner of Property Specialists. I had been with Property Specialists for ten years before purchasing it in 2018. We are licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. We have a staff of 6 handling approximately one hundred seventy-five properties consisting of single family, townhouses, and condominium homes. We are the only property management company or division that is open seven days a week that we know of. This helps us rent your home quicker than most companies and, more importantly, gives you and your tenant a live person to speak to seven days a week instead of an automated menu. This is extremely important to tenants, since most communication from them requires action. We have a very careful tenant selection and screening process.
