Prakticum

Yrkesinstitutet Prakticum is an upper secondary vocational institution in the Greater Helsinki area and we offer vocational education for youth and adults. Our language of instruction is mainly Swedish. Our units are situated in Helsinki (Arabianranta) and Porvoo, some 50 kilometres east of Helsinki. Yrkesinstitutet Prakticum offers vocational education in the following study programs: Automation Assembler (automationsmontör) Beauty Therapist (kosmetolog) Business and Administration Clerk (merkonom) Business Information Technician (datanom) Cook (kock) Electrician (elmontör) Hairdresser (frisör) ICT Assembler (ICT-montör) Media Assistant (medieassistent) Practical Nurse (närvårdare) Technology Vendor (reservdelsförsäljare) Waiter/Waitress (servitör) Vehicle Mechanic (fordonsmekaniker) All upper secondary vocational qualifications are based on three-year study programmes (180 competence points), which provide eligibility for higher education at polytechnics and universities. We also offer further qualification in: Entrepreneurship (merkonom) Learning Support and Morning and Afternoon Club Activity Instruction at School (barnledare samt ledare för skolgång och morgon- och eftermiddagsverksamhet) Media (mediebranschen) Visual Marketing (visuell marknadsförare) We work closely in cooperation with the working life and offer custom planned courses to increase the competence of the employees.
