Poudre Fire Authority (PFA) is an all-hazards response agency in the Front Range Foothills of beautiful Northern Colorado. It is an organization, a family, and a community partner that is committed to protecting life and property through prompt, skillful, and caring service. Our actions are anchored in the core values of courage, leadership, and duty.
WHAT WE PROTECT
PFA protects over 216,000 people and more than $41 billion worth of property (2020 data) within its 230 square mile jurisdiction. PFA serves a diverse jurisdiction that includes a lively downtown, two college campuses, mountain foothills, the Poudre River, and over 40 natural areas. The award-winning community is known for its bike friendly streets, local breweries, outdoor activities, and more.
The City of Fort Collins and the Poudre Valley Fire Protection District (PVFPD) are encompassed in the service area and are the two governing boards. They hold public meetings monthly.
