Founded in 1994, the Portland Chamber Music Festival is a top chamber music event in New England featuring acclaimed performers from the United States and abroad. Known primarily for its five-concert summer season which includes an interactive Family Concert, PCMF also offers a contemporary music series in collaboration with SPACE Gallery and a Salon Series of house concerts; as well as regular community engagement programs in collaboration with organizations such as The Telling Room, The Iris Network, Maine Music & Health, and senior-serving facilities throughout the region. Since 2007, the Festival has made its summer home at Hannaford Hall in the Abromson Community Education Center on the University of Southern Maine’s Portland campus.
