Porter's Cardiff has joined LinkedIn with the purpose of reaching out to those in business and the professional world, particularly like-minded creative folks in the arts and entertainments industries. Our independent venue is one-of-a-kind. It is owned by an egotistical but friendly former actor (Dan Porter) and situated by the Motorpoint Arena in the heart of Wales' capital city. It is the perfect hire for events, meetings or something a little bit more informal and fun. Porter's - voted a national runner-up and number one in Wales in The Observer’s "best place to drink" category 2013 - provides a warm welcome, great atmosphere and superb entertainment to all its customers. Our large main room is available for hire during the day, or we have the beautiful "The Other Room"; complete with cinema projector and screen, mini proscenium arch theatre and vintage cinema seats (The Children’s birthday parties have been a massive hit and we now know every word of ‘Despicable Me’, ‘Shrek’ and ‘Mamma Mia’). We can change the room into a variety of configurations and it can hold up to 50 people (at a squeeze). Anything is possible here- we can work together to make it so. How about a round on our Mini-Golf course in our covered courtyard or tinkling the ivories on our house piano? We have ping-pong, giant jenga, an array of board games, a record player and about 2000 45s that need spinning, and a variety of films to screen too. We have top quality entertainment almost every night of the year including Quizzes, Live Music, Comedy and much more (Bandaoke anyone?) and entry is always free. But MOST IMPORTANTLY we have a fully functioning and well stocked bar housing a fine selection of world beers, wines, spirits, teas, coffees, and soft drinks. If you’re peckish try a slice of homemade pizza with a side of Dan's Nan's Famous Coleslaw. All of this can be yours- delivered by the loveliest, friendliest, and most polite and enthusiastic staff you will ever encounter.
