The Company has recently completed a 78-episode high-end hybrid animated series commissioned by Netflix and Nine Media Group Australia. Alien TV premiere’s globally this summer. The high-end hybrid comedy series has been lauded for its quality.
POP’s current slate of childrens and family projects include the Asian Animation Summit “Best In Show” series, Escape From Pirate Asylum.
Pop are currently preparing a new original pre-school hybrid series, Backpack Pals, along with a mixed media feature film, Being Betty Flood, based on the Colin Thompson book series, The Floods, published worldwide.
Recently POP has joined forces with Easy Tiger founder and producer, Ian Collie, (Rake, Jack Irish, Doctor Doctor, Saving Mr. Banks) and 2019 Academy Award Nominee, Bradley Slabe (Best Animated Short Film, Lost and Found) to develop and produce the animated series, No Worries.
Carmel’s previous children’s and family productions include Sydney Sailboat,(ABC Australia, NBC Universal, Hulu, Sony UK), Bubble Bath Bay, (ABC Australia, NBC Kids, Sony UK) Crocadoo, (Nine Network Australia, BBC), Gloria’s House (Seven Network, RTV Germany, BBC, RAI, France Television) Wicked,(CBBC, Seven Network Australia) and the feature film The Magic Pudding, starring John Cleese, Geoffrey Rush, Sam Neill, Hugo Weaving, (Fox Films, ICON Productions).
