Polfa Warszawa S.A. is one of the biggest pharmaceutical companies in the country. The company is one of the leaders in the Polish pharmaceutical industry, both as regards the number of emploees and the number of sold products.
The main seat of the company, including production plants, is located almost in the centre of Warsaw, which, in connection with almost two hundred years of tradition, gave Polfa a permanent place in the city's history.
In 2003, the Warsaw Polfa was transformed into a company wholly owned by the State Treasury and from 2004 to 2012, it belonged to Polski Holding Farmaceutyczny S.A. (Polish Pharmaceutical Holding).
On 19 April 2012, Polpharma S.A. became Polfa's new owner, as a result of privatisation.
In the portfolio of the Warsaw Polfa there are almost 140 different medicines, which are distributed on the territory of Poland and exported to several dozen of countries all over the world.
