Playmobil FunPark
Playmobil was presented for the first time at the International Toy Fair of Nuremberg in 1974. In a few years the manufacturer of Playmobil, Geobra Brandstaetter GmbH became the biggest toy manufacturer in Germany. Today Geobra owns three construction plants in Nuremberg, Malta and Spain, with state of the art injection machines, moulds and warehouse automation. Playmobil is present in 60 countries with 9 subsidiaries. Despite the global economical crises, Geobra has a continuous increase, without accepting any compromises with regards to the quality of its products. The secret of the success of Playmobil is the combination of the “system toy” with the perfect quality of construction.
The success of Playmobil is not a coincidence, but a consequence of a successful strategy of the last three decades. The German company has a different philosophy than the other companies of the toy trade: no license products, no computer games, zero products from countries of the Far East, only European production with big investments in automation.
The small knights, pirates and princes have become one of the favorite toys of kids everywhere and they will continue occupying a very precious place in the children’s room around the world.
