Placer’s mission is to ensure that every young person regardless of social background, increases their employability skills to successfully transition from education into work and apprenticeships.
We achieve this by not only providing access to CPD-accredited employability skills training before they reach the workplace via The Placer Skills Academy, but then also talent matching them with work and apprenticeship opportunities via the Placer Talent Network.
Our aim is to prevent young people becoming NEET or if they do, giving them a way out of it as young people stay in the network even when they leave sixth form/college.
Placer Vision
A world where every young person has access to the employability skills and work opportunities to thrive in life.
Placer Mission
Ensuring every young person, regardless of social background, increases their employability to successfully transition from education into work.
Placer Purpose
Tackling youth unemployment by providing access to employability skills training and connecting them with work opportunities so that no young person ends up not in education, employment or training.
We work with schools, colleges and universities to prevent NEET, as well as NEET projects, housing associations and local authorities to help those who are NEET, transition successfully into work and apprenticeships.
We work with employers to match work, apprenticeship and placement opportunities to young people in the talent network who have the employability skills to be immediately productive.
