Picasso's Garage Art Therapy Studio, led by Claire Nicholls, has been inspiring creativity for 18 years. Starting as a summer camp in 2005, grew into a thriving art school with classes five days a week and an annual summer camp. Over 600 students enrolled, exploring the works of 300 artists. Positive word-of-mouth has fueled its reputation, leading to a larger venue @Evergreen Brickworks, during summer camps. In 2017, art-based psychotherapy was introduced, focusing on individual therapy for children and youth dealing with various issues. Picasso's Garage combines the creative process with therapy to provide a powerful outlet for expression.
Picasso's Garage has gained recognition as an exceptional establishment. In 2014, Toronto Life's Top 300 "City's Best" ranked it as #3 for "Kids at Play," and it was one of the top five "Things for Kids to Do this Summer" according to Toronto Life Magazine (2016). It was also named one of the top ten "Best Summer Day Camps in Toronto" by SavvyMom.ca.
