The PRFU is the official governing body of Rugby Union in the Philippines. The PRFU was founded in 1998, over the last decade the sport of Rugby has become more popular. The Filipino public is starting to admire, learn and support the sport of Rugby as the national team the Philippine Volcanoes have proven to attract supporters and sponsors by achieving consistent successful performances on the international arena.
The PRFU is a non-profit national sports association focused on growing and developing Rugby. The PRFU provides training and education nationwide, hosts local domestic competitions, festivals and competes on the international arena in sanctioned competitions by Asia Rugby and World Rugby.
Domestically, Rugby is played throughout Manila, Clark, Subic, Albay, Palawan, Negros, Cebu, Davao, Cagayan De Oro, General Santos plus others.
The PRFU are registered accredited members of World Rugby, Asia Rugby as well as being recognized by the Philippine Olympic Committee and Philippine Sports Commission.
