EDUCATION AND PUBLIC AWARENESS SERVICES
We host seminars in the Bay Area on such disability-related topics as employment, Social Security, housing, post-secondary education, health care, and multiculturalism.
We produce and distribute training materials including videos (DVD and VHS) and CDs. Our most recent training video, "Understanding Employees and Job Applicants with Psychiatric Disabilities" (2008), addresses psychiatric disabilities in the workplace from a medical and vocational perspective, and comes with a workbook for usage in group training situations. "Understanding" is a valuable tool for Human Resources managers, Vocational Rehabilitation counselors and other organizations and professionals working with or on behalf of people with psychiatric disabilities.
We can provide Guest Speakers on a range of topics related to disability.
Trainings on-site at your organization can be arranged on a variety of disability-related subjects.
