Peak Performance Ski Shop, which was opened on October 29,1988 by Fred and Denise Coriell, has become one of the best ski shops in the U.S. because we are passionate about skiing. When we opened the shop our concept was a technical ski shop for clothing, equipment, and service.
We also learned through our three sons, who are home grown Vermont ski racers. Fred, David and Scott have raced in Vermont since their Hopeful days, and have advanced to win medals at States, Jr. Olympics, Eastern Cups, NCAA's, All East; gained All American status and had the opportunity to race in NorAm's, and throughout Europe. All three sons continued to race Division 1 at Middlebury College.
Peak has undergone two major expansions along with many upgrades. We started as an approximately 1500 sq ft store and now occupy over 3100 sq. ft. of retail space. Our service center is one of the finest in the U.S. with the addition of the Wintersteiger Mercury Tuning Machine in 2015. This machine guarantees World Cup quality ski preparation. We have become the pre-eminent shop in the U.S. for ski and boot preparation, and have been named to the SKI MAGAZINE TOP 50 LIST of ski shops for the last twelve years. Peak Performance is the smallest shop to be named to the list, which speaks volumes about our passionate customers who vote us to that list year after year.
