Paul Archer Design was formed in 1999 specialising in bespoke architectural and interior design. The team consists of twenty employees and has carried out a varied range of projects.
The practice is committed to innovative modern design and is dedicated to the highest level of professionalism and management. We believe that there is no conflict between quality design and practical solutions. All of our work tries to take an intelligent, rather than dogmatic, approach to sustainability. Having built many projects, we have been able to evolve a number of energy strategies that integrate, rather than dominate the architecture. We have also successfully led several contentious planning applications for Listed Buildings and always look forward to working with new or existing buildings.
The enquiries and projects that we have taken on have developed from recommendations from clients and builders and also through appearing in various publications including Elle Decoration, Grand Design Magazine and Guardian Weekend. Along with the publications, our projects have been featured on Channel Four’s Other People’s Homes and Grand Designs.
We have a history of achieving good value for our clients through attention to detail and the pursuit of good quality and low maintenance, particularly in the building envelope: many of the buildings designed by the practice have cost a lot less than their quality would suggest.
