Paso Pacifico is a Ventura-based 501c3 which promotes and implements landscape-scale conservation projects in Central America. Our organization believes complete ecosystems, which span from ridge to reef (the mountains to the sea) are key to successful conservation of the biodiverse natural ecosystems in Central America. We have implemented large-scale reforestation projects, which generated carbon offsets sold by carbonfund.org on the US Voluntary Market. We also have programs promoting species conservation through innovative programs to protect sea turtles, spider monkeys, and yellow-naped parrots, among others. We also raise awareness about various environmental issues, work closely with rural communities, and have a fantastic environmental education program.
