Founded in 2007, Partners for Our Children (POC) works to improve the lives of vulnerable children and families in Washington State, especially those touched by the child welfare system. As a part of the School of Social Work at the University of Washington, POC works closely with the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) and private philanthropy to provide evidence for improvements in child welfare practice and policy.
Mission
We combine the strengths of a public research university with resources from the private sector to improve outcomes for vulnerable children and families touched by Washington’s public child welfare system.
Vision
All children living safe and healthy lives, supported by families who have access to the resources and services they need to thrive.
