We are here to listen to parents of children with special individual needs and direct them to swift and practical help. We offer support to parents of children (aged 1-18) with special needs. We also aim to provide financial help where necessary for any of the following:
Professional advice
Independent assessments
Legal advice
Emotional support
Respite care
Help with transitions for older children to further education
We will also point parents in the direction of other organisations and charities that may be of help.
Where a child has a strong case for the right support, but the local authority refuses to provide it, parents will need to act on behalf of their child. Seeking independent medical, educational, social and legal advice is expensive and daunting. PIN will support these parents with both financial help and guidance. Alternatively, if the parents need emotional support or respite, we will listen and try to assist.
