The Pakistan Central Cotton Committee (PCCC) was established under the provisions of Section 4(1) of the Cotton Cess Act, 1923 (adopted in 1948) for the improvement and development of the growing, marketing, and manufacturing of cotton. Over the last seven decades, significant
improvement has taken place in the development of new varieties, crop production technologies, and yield per hectare, through an extensive program of research and development in all conceivable aspects.
