We are a registered 501c3 non-profit ISP dedicated to bridging the digital divide by providing fast and affordable broadband and wireless communication networks to rural, under-served, and unconnected communities.
Our organization is comprised of seasoned telecom, ISP, and large scale network and system engineers with a passion for applying our decades of experience to benefit the communities we live in and surround us by modernizing our country’s aging communications infrastructure.
By utilizing the cutting edge and revolutionary Althea platform to create decentralized, multi-stakeholder, locally owned and operated mesh networks we are capable of building sustainable networks for communities that fall outside of traditional ISP profit models, and easily reaching areas other ISP’s can’t. With a combination of wired and wireless networking technology we deliver modern broadband service over networks that are fast, efficient, cost-effective, resilient, and easily adaptable to meet rapidly growing bandwidth demands.
Our flagship network, the Missoula Valley Internet Co-op, launched at the end of 2020 and has been rapidly growing, providing Missoula residents with fast, affordable, and fully secure broadband service. We are actively planning networks across Montana and Washington, with the launch of the Lake County Internet Co-op and the Anderson Island Internet Co-op slated for launch later this year. In time we aim to provide comprehensive rural broadband and communication services across the Pacific Northwest region, with a focus on the areas that struggle the most for access to this vital lifeline service.
