To fulfill our mission, we have established a comprehensive training program that fosters collaboration among scientists with diverse and complementary expertise. Our investigators are at the forefront of chemical and structural biology, quantitative cell biology, proteomics, computational biology, and drug design. Our research encompasses various cutting-edge therapeutic approaches, including nanoparticles, non-coding RNAs, stem cells, gene therapy, and small molecules.
Faculty members and students within our department are closely affiliated with specialized research centers focusing on cancer biology, neurosciences, cardiovascular biology, alcohol addiction, and gene therapy. These affiliations enhance our collective research capabilities.
To facilitate our research endeavors, we provide access to state-of-the-art research cores, offering training and resources in a wide range of sophisticated experimental and bioinformatics technologies.
Our success is attributed to our ability to attract exceptional graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, research staff, and faculty. We currently have twenty professors with primary appointments and over 50 individuals with adjunct, research, or joint appointments.
