PEN Worldwide administers the Worldwide Practice Enterprise Network. We ensure the dissemination and standardization of the Learning-by-Doing concept called 'Practice Enterprise'. Each year, more than 200,000 trainees benefit from our practical training in schools, universities and training centres around the world. Today, our network includes over 7,000 Practice Enterprises in more than 40 countries.
A Practice Enterprise (PE) is a trainee-run company that runs like any real business silhouetting a real enterprise's business procedures, products and services. A Practice Enterprise resembles a real company in its form, organization and function. Each Practice Enterprise engages in business activities, both nationally and internationally, with other companies within our global network, following standard commercial business procedures and frameworks.
A Practice Enterprise offers a ‘Learning-by-Doing’ training concept with the aim to better prepare participants for their future careers and to increase their business and entrepreneurship skills through running a training business. The Practice Enterprise concept is easily transferable to different target groups including secondary, vocational education and university students, job seekers, disabled and disadvantaged groups, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
The concept can be easily adapted to other countries and institutions. The Coordination Centre in Germany provides national representatives and/or Practice Enterprises in new countries with the necessary framework and guidelines.
Are you interested in the Practice Enterprise concept and would like to join our worldwide network? Get in touch via our website, social media or at info@penworldwide.org - we look forward to hearing from you!
