Orient Petroleum Pty Limited is operating at Zamzama field that is located 10 km west of the city of Dadu in the Sindh Province, Pakistan. The field was discovered in 1998 and brought online in 2001.
Zamzama is a non‐associated gas / condensate field and is operated under the Dadu Petroleum Concession Agreement (PCA). The field facilities include four gas processing trains (three dehydration and one nitrogen removal unit) and two front‐end compression (“FEC”) trains giving a throughput capacity of > 500 MMSCFD, with the investment of USD 595 million. To date, a total of 11 wells have been drilled, of which 6 are currently producing from the Pab reservoir only and two Zam‐3 & 5 flowing gas from Khadro reservoir.
The field structure is large (30 km long) north‐south orientated eastward thrusting anticline. The field achieved peak production of 570 MMSCFD in 2009 from 6 wells. From 2009‐2013 the operator maintained the field production above 375 MMSCF for 4 years by adding 2 new producers, installing front‐end compression and de-bottle-necking.
