The Orange County Women's Chorus, one of the top amateur choruses in the region, performs diverse, challenging, and enjoyable music under the leadership of Artistic Director Eliza Rubenstein. We are an auditioned, 50+ voice ensemble performing everything from medieval chant to jazz, opera to Broadway tunes. The Orange County Women's Chorus is dedicated to performing the best music for women's voices from every age and culture. Named a 2014 Outstanding Arts Organization by Arts Orange County, and a prizewinner in the 2015 International Musical Eisteddfod (festival) in Llangollen, Wales, we've been causing treble for more than 20 years. We made our Carnegie Hall debut in June 2022 with a spotlight performance of our own repertoire, followed by a massed choir performance of Haydn's Lord Nelson Mass under the baton of our own Artistic Director, Eliza Rubenstein. We are committed to creating opportunities for women in music by giving our singers the chance to share their gifts, providing an annual conducting internship for a promising young woman conductor and commissioning new works for women's voices.
