Built in 1923 as a theater, the Bronx Opera House hosted world-famous performers including the Marx Brothers, George Burns, Gracie Allen, Ethel and Lionel Barrymore, Harry Houdini, David Warfield and Fats Waller.
The Empire Hotel Group reopened the Opera House Hotel in 2013 after restoring its façade to the original 1913 design. Vintage photographs of its heyday are on display throughout the interior for guests to enjoy.
