The OWWA’s vision is to be the leading resource dedicated to safe, sufficient, and sustainable water from source to tap.
The Ontario Water Works Association (OWWA) is a voluntary, not-for-profit organization of water professionals, dedicated to protecting public health through the delivery of safe, sufficient, and sustainable drinking water in Ontario. OWWA has more than 1600 members including municipal water system managers and operators, consulting engineers, equipment manufacturers and suppliers, research scientists, chemists, and hydrogeologists. We are a Section of the American Water Works Association (AWWA), which has more than 57,000 members in 130 countries.
We provide leadership in water management through education; innovation; continual improvements in customer relations, science, and technology; and participating in development of government policy.
To do this, we have over 20 volunteer committees dedicated to providing education, information, advocacy, and leadership in water stewardship to its members, the general public, and all levels of government.
OWWA believes in achieving consumer confidence in drinking water through ongoing public involvement in planning, policy development, regulatory, and quality issues regarding safe drinking water.
