Onramp Institute

Onramp Institute, a 501(c)3 educational non-profit, offers a 3-week summer program in downtown Portland Oregon that helps college students and recent grads excel in moving from the classroom to the work world. At Onramp we ask 'why try to plan for a future you can't predict when instead you can try to create the future you want?' Onramp cohorts learn how to create their own futures -- rather than just ordering off the menu. Onramp shows how you can be entrepreneurial wherever you work and whatever your role. We call it 'entrepreneurship 2.0' • At Onramp we believe the generation graduating today is facing a rewrite of the fundamental rules governing work and careers, and • The college education and experiences provided to students today is too frequently incomplete, and in ways ill-suited, for these new rules that are already in play. Onramp is built on the rails of the research and practices of effectuation (www.effectuation.org), and expands the application of an entrepreneurial mindset far beyond the confines of startups and Silicon Valley.
