Ogunquit means “beautiful place by the sea” in the Abenaki language. This coastal village a few miles south of Kennebunkport won USA Today’s “Best Coastal Small Town” award in 2016. Dubbed a “mini-Provincetown,” Ogunquit is blessed with 3½ miles of white-sand beaches, a museum of American art, and a playhouse. It’s also blessed with the Ogunquit Tides (formerly the Colonial Village Resort), which overlooks a gorgeous tidal river. From here your group can walk to the beach, catch a trolley downtown, enjoy an Olympic-sized outdoor pool (or swim indoors), or play tennis on private courts.
