Since 2016, Oceano Wines has been specializing in ultra-premium and refreshingly vibrant expressions of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. The sole source of fruit comes from Spanish Springs Vineyard, 1.5 miles from the ocean in the San Luis Obispo Coast AVA- the coolest climate region for grape growing in California. Both wines have earned 90+ ratings and can be found on numerous Michelin rated restaurants and in fine wine stores.
Founder, CEO and Winemaker, Rachel Martin has been growing grapes and making wine for 20 years. Prior to Oceano, Martin kick-started her family’s winery, Boxwood Estate, from a local presence in Virginia to a 5,000 case internationally distributed brand. During her tenure she authored the 2012 successful petition establishing Middleburg Virginia as the state’s seventh AVA.
In 2023, Oceano will launch Oceano Zero, its first line of non-alcoholic wines with all the same hallmarks of their traditional seaside bottlings- ultra premium, single vineyard and single vintage wines made with techniques developed specifically for dealcoholized wines.
