Oak Counselling Services Society is a non-profit organization established in 1973. Our goal is to provide affordable, secular, and quality counselling to residents of Greater Vancouver.
Our counsellors volunteer their services, and come from a wide range of cultures and experiences. They have a Masters degree (or equivalent) in Counselling Psychology, Social work or related disciplines, and subscribe to a recognized Code of Ethics.
Funding comes from client fees, donations, and a government grant.
Fees are based on a sliding scale related to household income, and the number of individuals supported on it. In rare cases of financial hardship, a fee may be waived, this decision at the discretion of the Executive Director.
