Oak Capital is a commercial real estate private equity and development firm founded by Ricardo Dunin along with a core group of former Lionheart Capital professionals. Oak Capital’s mandate is to invest as a general partner in high yield opportunistic residential and commercial real estate transactions. The team has extensive track record having developed approximately $2 billion in asset value across the US, Latin America and the Caribbean. Oak Capital is currently developing a $350-million oceanfront residential development, in partnership with Fortune International Group, in Pompano Beach, FL.
Mr. Dunin, in his capacity as a partner in both Lionheart Capital and Flagler Group, was responsible for overseeing and directing all developments of the firm. While at Lionheart Capital, Mr. Dunin completed the Ritz Carlton Residences in Miami Beach, a project that sold out at over $500MM and the Ritz-Carlton Residences in Singer Island, a project that sold out at over $300MM. Under Dunin’s tutelage, Flagler Group was a pioneer of the condo-hotel concept, and developed the Mutiny Hotel and the Sonesta Bayfront Hotel, both in Coconut Grove. Other high-profile Dunin projects include: The Meridian, an ultra-modern building of 111 luxury lofts in South Beach; Le Sereno, a beachfront resort designed by Parisian designer Christian Liaigre in St. Barth and the Miami Airport Center, a 640,000 square foot, mixed-use park adjacent to Miami International Airport.
