This has caused the emergence of many subsidiary companies under the OVID Group. As related to aluminum and glazing installation works, OVID Aluminum Plc has emerged to fill the gap. The company was established on September 11, 2023, as a private limited company with an initial investment capital of Birr 50,000,000.00. Since its establishment, it has been undertaking aluminum and glazing works (partition walls, windows, and doors), focusing primarily on delivering the works on time and with quality to the client’s satisfaction. CURRENT STATUS AND FUTURE PROSPECTS OVID Aluminum Plc is established to invest primarily in the fabrication of metal, ‘arab’ metal, and products of metal minerals. It, however, plans to expand its investment area by adding other businesses that are related to the business it’s now engaged in. Currently, the company is endeavoring to lay a strong foothold to enable it to stay firm in the market by being competent and demonstrating the capability to undertake complex and large-scale projects. So far, the company has installed an aluminum fabrication workshop fully equipped with modern and new machinery. It is also planning to add another workshop of similar capacity. In addition, it is on the way to installing production plants, which can assist it in the supply of the raw materials it demands in its current and upcoming undertakings. These plants are aluminum extrusion, glass extrusion, PVC and rubber extrusion, and SPC tile production plants.
