Ogix Ottawa Gatineau Internet Exchange

Our mandate is to operate an Internet exchange point (IXP) in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. We are also known as OGIX. We are presently looking for a location suitable for housing the core of the exchange and welcome any suggestions Our stated corporate purposes are: i. To increase the cost-effectiveness, efficiency and speed with which communications network traffic is exchanged within Canada; ii. To provide an infrastructure that facilitates the exchange of communications network traffic among Internet service providers, network service providers, content service providers and other entities that need to exchange communications network traffic within Canada; and iii. To promote the growth and development of communications networks within Canada.
