NovaLaka was established in 2015 as an initiative of dynamic and innovative graduates who recognize the need for the improvement of treatments, technology and research in the field health and medicine with the usage of polymers for better application and smart administration of the pre-existing and innovative drugs.
In achieving our goal we want to focus on empowering women in science, health industry and business by supporting young researchers in creative innovation, particularly in the field of medicine, pharmacy, organic chemistry, bio-technology and bio-engineering.
NovaLaka aims to address issues related to health care and provide comfortable and convenient at-home solution for various syndromes in place of invasive procedures done in the surgery or a hospital, by creating the easy-to-apply polymeric substance that would transmit the medicine directly onto the affected area, reducing the costs, recovery time and risks of side effects.
By using polymeric components in the administration of the antibiotics, the goal of NovaLaka is to improve the quality of life of the patient but also cut down the costs and time for the medical services organizations by eliminating the need for the patient to remain in the hospital and usage of health care resources.
NovaLaka sees the future of Polymer Slow Release technology in various different medicinal uses such as: topical aesthetic treatments, in the treatment of injuries sustained by burns, infectious wounds, orthodontics and many more.
