Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the largest employers in the region, with around 14,000 people working at our three sites – QMC, City Hospital and Ropewalk House.
Our portfolio of specialist services includes heart, cancer, stroke, renal, neurosurgery and trauma. QMC is also home to the Nottingham Children’s Hospital, where 40,000 young patients from Nottinghamshire and beyond are
cared for annually.
We are at the forefront of many world-leading research programmes and new surgical procedures. In partnership with the University of Nottingham, we operate two National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Units - in hearing and digestive diseases. NUH is in the top five trusts nationally in providing opportunities for patients to take part in clinical research studies.
‘We are here for you’: this is our promise to patients. Our commitment to patients is to ensure they feel cared for, safe and confident in their treatment.
We strive to continually improve clinical outcomes and patient experience to meet the needs of the local, regional and national population that we serve. NUH provides secondary care services to a population of over one million people in the Nottinghamshire area and specialist tertiary care to patients across the East Midlands. A proportion of the Trust’s activity is provided to patients who are referred to our hospitals from outside of the region.
