Nach dem Studium begann mein Berufseinstieg 1979 mit einer Anstellung bei einem Unternehmen der Mittleren Datentechnik . In diesem Bereich boten Firmen wie Nixdorf, Siemens, Philips, Kienzle, Olivetti etc. Lösungen für Klein- und Mittelbetriebe an, die sehr stark herstellerbezogen waren, d.h. Hard- und Software waren von einem Anbieter und ein Wechsel zu einem anderen Anbieter war nur schwer möglich.
