Northern Hardwoods was founded in Atlantic Mine, MI in 1968 and expanded to Newberry, MI in 2019 and Niles, MI in 2022. Northern Hardwoods is surrounded by some of the purest white hard maple in the world. Mother Nature does most of the work that gives Northern Hardwoods such a unique maple tree, Northern Hardwoods has been very successful in designing a drying process that produces extremely WHITE lumber as a result, free of sticker stain and discoloration on a year-round basis. Additionally, our proprietary drying processes guarantees an equalized and stress-relieved final product.
