Nod Makerspace, private company and NGO, is a cultural and creative hub coordinator, established in the former Cotton Factory, Bucharest. Co-created and co-produced since the beginnings, Nod makerspace has been launched in 2015 as the first creative community center of large dimensions in Romania: 2200 sqm of mixed-use areas - makerspace, co-working, events, materials library we developped in a reconverted private, former unused industrial hall.
The organisation has developed in time different projects such as: a unique materials library, a makers’ accelerator, educational classes, cultural or design exhibitions and so on.
Apart from the specific activities of the creative hub, our organization is also involved in strategic projects for the development of "wastelands" in Bucharest and in the process of developing national cultural policies 2023-2030, on the subject of Creative Cities.
