Electrical Engineering Institute Nikola Tesla is an accredited research and development institute registered to carry out scientific research activities in the technical and technological sciences, field - electrical engineering. It is a member of the University of Belgrade and the Association of Institutes of Serbia.
Consists of 4 departments:
1. Department of Power systems: Research into various phenomena that accompany electricity production, transmission, distribution, management, and use. Primary areas are: Power system analysis, development planning, management and exploitation studies.
2. Department of Automation and regulation: Development, research, design,manufacturing and testing in power electronics , automatic regulation, and control. Our power electronics products are: excitation systems of synchronous machines, inverters, rectifiers, static switches, UPS, electrostatic precipitators, SCADA systems and embedded regulators.
3. Department of Power facilities: High-voltage technology, thermographic research, research in the field of grounding, cable problems, reception tests, and the production of special devices. Owns laboratory for electromagnetic fields testing and laboratory for grounding systems, lightning protection and electrical installations testing.
4. Department of Electrical measurements: Electrical measurements of electrical, magnetic and non-electrical quantities. Measurements are made by: laboratory for testing insulating oils and papers of transformers, laboratory for calibration, laboratory for insulation systems testing and laboratory for relay protection.
