New Directions Consulting (NDC) is a woman of color and immigrant-run small business created to support organizations on their journey to dismantle institutional racism. Its trainings and workshops are designed to build an evolution of knowledge and practices for individuals, groups, and organizations on the path towards racial equity.
NDC’s trainings, workshops and activities are centered on an anti-racism framework and are designed on an evolving learning process that supports individual’s capacity to comprehend theoretical knowledge and moving them into everyday practices. NDC worked with employees from diverse cultural, ethnic, educational, backgrounds and professional roles.
New Directions Consulting’s goals are to:
· Provide training and workshops to assist organizations in developing their own pathways to a racially just organization.
· Assess, encourage, support and challenge organizational commitment to racial justice.
· Promote and facilitate authentic and honest conversations about racism.
· Explore and assess how racism presents barriers to achieving potential, and how to navigate, overcome and dismantle those barriers.
· Validate experiences of racial injustice and micro-aggression in work and other environments.
· Provide opportunities to problem solve specific strategies to address experiences of institutionalized racism and internalized racial oppression.
