The Nelson Container Story.
Nelson Container is a privately held company founded in the spring of 1962 by Jim and Pat Nelson. The company filled a need for a high quality, full service, box manufacturer, handling custom orders and specialty items. This is the market we’ve continued to serve.
Nelson Container was originally located on 32nd and Hampton in Milwaukee for 7 years. The company was relocated in Brown Deer for the next 26 years. In 1990, a Service Center was established in Madison, Wisconsin. On September 15, 1995, the company completed its move from Brown Deer to a 92,558 square foot building in the Germantown Industrial Park on 11 acres of land. Today, Nelson Container employees close to fifty people. The transition of leadership has been made to the next generation. Tom Nelson is now President.
