NaviCom Technology Pte Ltd was appointed by Garmin Ltd. as the only Authorised Distributor in Singapore from 2005 till 2017 and has built Garmin to be a local household lifestyle brand. The company also provides maintenance, after sales services, warranty and repair services. Apart from having its own showroom & service centre at Paya Ubi Industrial Park, Navicom’s network for retail channels includes 66 Large scale IT Retailers with an island wide presence and brand name for mass consumer market and 50 independent general IT & lifestyle stores. Navicom regularly participates in the big 4 IT Trade shows hosted every quarter in Singapore to establish its supplier’s brand presence, market its product line to consumers and conduct information survey on its competitors and market sentiments. Navicom engages in both traditional and social media to maximise its outreach. Navicom’s main choice of traditional print advertisement is through Singapore’s number 1 premier newspaper with a readership of 2 million and circulated throughout SEA countries. In particular, Navicom has consistently sent out press releases of new products to the tech editors for product reviews. Navicom primarily engages in social media marketing via Facebook and Instagram through paid ads and content generation. While Navicom maintains its social media presence through its ecommerce arm, Navicom’s marketing also has experience in co-managing its suppliers’ local social media brand pages.
