Nanaimo Science And Sustainability Society

The Nanaimo Science and Sustainability Society (Nanaimo Science) is a charitable non-profit society focused on science education and outreach. Nanaimo Science's mission is to inspire children and their families to develop a life-long interest in science and sustainability through hands-on learning. We offer programs to school-age children in classrooms, during after school programs, in week long summer camps and at our science studio and also participate in a variety of community events at which we offer science activities free to families. Nanaimo Science offers activities that connect people with local ecology, address environmental concerns, demonstrate chemical and physical principles, develop an understanding of basic engineering, and most importantly encourage children and adults to engage, explore and question.
