Namibian Marine Phosphate (Ltd) Pty (NMP) is developing the world's first marine phosphate project off the coast of Namibia and will establish Namibia as a premier rock phosphate producer, contributing to the Namibian economy and supporting ongoing crop production through the provision of phosphorus for fertiliser.
The company has current and valid dredging licences in place that are conditional on the granting of an environmental licence. NMP is at an advanced stage in the gaining of such a licence for all of its dredging licence area and is developing the Sandpiper marine phosphate project.
NMP was formed in 2010 by Australian companies Minemakers and UCL Resources and Namibian company Tungeni Investments.
