NYC Test Prep’s individual tutoring programs offer students in the New York City area the most efficient and effective way to prepare for standardized tests and academic exams. Our experienced tutors have all scored in the top 1% of test takers on any exam they teach and have all graduated from an Ivy League university or other highly selective institutions (Stanford, MIT, etc). At NYC Test Prep, we understand that a tutoring relationship hinges not only on the academic aptitude of the tutor, but in the personal connection that is formed between the tutor and the student. For this reason, we look for dynamic tutors who can keep their students engaged throughout their sessions and are able to adapt their lesson plans to meet the needs of the individual student. We recognize that students are often times under a great deal of pressure to succeed and we specifically seek out tutors that exhibit an ability to empathize with the student’s situation, while keeping the student motivated and focused on the task at hand. We strongly believe that the key to NYC Test Prep’s success is our ability to understand the specific needs of our students and to form a customized program that works best for them.
