Satellite Research Centre (SaRC) is the birthplace of Singapore Designed Satellite. The satellite program was started in 1996. XSAT is the 1st satellite designed and built in NTU, and is launched in April 2011.
Satellite Research Centre (SaRC) targets toward a centre of excellence in space science and technology.
• Research in innovative space technologies for earth observation, communication, weather and climate monitoring applications.
• Research and develop low earth orbit (LEO) distributed micro & nano-satellite system.
• Collaboration with international universities, companies, and agencies to expand on university research capability.
• Train undergraduate & postgraduate students through satellite mission development.
