The NSW Medical Students' Council (NSWMSC) is the peak representative body for over 5,700 medical students across 8 Medical Schools in NSW and ANU in the ACT.
The NSWMSC has grown since its formation in 2008 and has been working with key stakeholders in ensuring that the medical students in metropolitan, rural and remote areas across the state are heard and represented. New South Wales trains and produces more medical graduates than any other state or territory in Australia - our graduates work in more hospitals and serve a larger population than anywhere else in the country.
The NSWMSC is comprised of an Executive Committee as well as a Council (made up of NSWMSC University Representatives and Presidents from each Medical Society). We work closely with key stakeholders such as HETI, NSW Health, AMA(NSW) and ensure that all medical students are represented in decision-making.
The NSWMSC organises events and initiatives for our members, including our Annual Research in Medicine Symposium, Journeys in Medicine Symposium, Cocktail Party, Sports Day, and much more!
