Firmly rooted in Germany's first and only Gold Beater Town of Schwabach, NORIS Blattgoldfabrik GmbH is a family-owned business that is nurturing the fine craft of gold beating since 1876. Currently run by the fifth generation of the founding family, NORIS has preserved and improved the traditional gold beating processes, successfully combining the traditional handicraft with innovative manufacturing methods. Our continuous investment in state-of-the-art production technologies resulted in a wide range of gold, silver, and metallic leaves and powders of unparalleled quality. On top of that, our assortment includes innovative gilding systems, indispensable gilding tools, and various sundries, which complement every gilding project. We take particular pride in our product line GOLDMARIE – a line of edible gold and silver decorations for haute cuisine and pâtisserie which is beloved by the master and pastry chefs worldwide. While NORIS headquarters are still located in Schwabach, the second manufacture was opened in 2012 in Karlovac (Croatia) to accommodate the growing demands for our products. Both our production sites employ over 200 qualified workers in different aspects of the business – from product development and production to marketing and retail – whose professionalism and expertise ensure the satisfaction of our customers. Today our company is recognised as one of the leading producers of gold, silver, and metallic leaves in Europe, and we act as a supplier of large, medium, and small-sized businesses, as well as individual artists, artisans, and craftsmen who regularly employ our products in their projects. Whether it is a luxurious interior of a multimillion Dubai villa or a small Baroque frame that delicately embellishes an Old Master painting, there is no project too big or too small for us!
