Northern India Regional Council representing over 60,000 Chartered Accountants and 225000 students spread across the States of Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab and Union Territory of Chandigarh is a constitutent body of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, a body established by an Act of Parliament (XXXVIII of 1949) to regulate the profession of Chartered Accountancy.
The functions of the Regional Council inter-alia include holding of talks, refresher courses, workshops, seminars and conferences on topics of professional interest with a view to help the members and students keep themselves abreast of the development in the fast changing scenario.
