At Mount Baker Housing (MBH), our commitment is to building brighter futures in southeast Seattle. With nimbleness, ingenuity, and empathy, we create affordable multifamily housing and bridge gaps for underserved individuals and families within our diverse community so they can grow, thrive, and dream. We are dedicated to investing in people and empowering community voices to identify our housing priorities and resident programming needs.  Mount Baker Housing was founded in 1988 for the initial purpose of preserving the Mt. Baker Village Apartments located in southeast Seattle. Since the purchase and initial renovation of Mt. Baker Village, MBH has grown into a non-profit affordable housing developer, now owning and operating eight properties, with a significant committed development pipeline. By 2027 we will have completed an additional four new housing developments, increasing the number of apartments in our portfolio to nearly 1200, and the total residents housed to over 3,000.
