As a Children's Advocacy Center and Sexual Assault Center, Mosaic Georgia enhances the safety, healing, and justice for people of all ages impacted by sexual violence and abuse. We also work to change social conditions that allow for sexual violence and help build the capacity for local community response to harm done by sex crimes.
Across northeast metro-Atlanta, we support more than 2,000 survivors every year with direct crisis and clinical services, comprehensive advocacy, counseling, and legal services.
We serve children, youth, and adults without regard to age, race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, (dis)ability, sexual orientation, or immigration status at no charge to the victim.
Our services include:
1. 24 Hour Crisis Line [crisis intervention, emotional support, information & referrals]
2. Forensic Medical Examinations / Assessments [even if victim is not ready to report to law enforcement]
3. Prophylactic Treatments
4. Forensic Interviews (for child victims)
5. Advocacy [personal & family advocacy, court accompaniment, support through criminal justice process, assistance with Georgia Crime Victim Compensation application]
6. Civil Legal Services for Victims [related to housing, employment, insurance, and other issues affected by the sexual assault]
To eliminate the social conditions that allow for sexual violence:
* Community outreach & awareness events
* Education programs for school employees, students, and youth groups.
